Due to the moisturising agents, our Washing Up Liquid is gentle on skin, and a lot of customers with sensitive skin report that it has helped them with their dry and cracked hands. However, hard water and surfactants (cleaning agents) can be very drying on the skin, so we still recommend that kitchen porters and warewashing staff use gloves. Harsh water, combined with surfactants, can dry out hands over time. For additional care, we suggest using our Hand Wash or Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash after washing dishes to maintain hand health, drying hands thoroughly, and using our Hand & Body Cream to keep hands supple and soft.

Our three strengths of Washing Up Liquid cater to all your washing needs. If you're cleaning lightly soiled dishes or porous surfaces we recommend our Washing Up Liquid (with 10% active ingredients), use our Active Washing Up Liquid (with 15% active ingredients) for everyday washing up. Alternatively, if you need something a little stronger for tackling the toughest grease and hard burnt-on stains with our Super Active Washing Up Liquid (with 30% active ingredients). The yellow colour in our Washing Up Liquid comes naturally from the active ingredients used (if you want to get technical, it’s from the surfactants, the cleaning agents). Unlike other Washing Up Liquids, we do not use synthetic dyes – they are unnecessary and purely for aesthetics. The manufacturing process for dyes often requires significant energy and water resources, contributing to environmental degradation and increased carbon footprint.

We recommend washing and rinsing your dishes thoroughly after they’re cleaned to ensure no residue is left behind. Foam on your dishes indicates the formula is still present, which isn’t particularly unsafe but not ideal.

Surprisingly suds or foam are added by soap manufacturers to make products look effective, but they don’t actually contribute to the cleaning function.

Yes, natural cleaners work effectively even without producing suds. Suds are just

Not visible to the eye, cleaning agents within washing up liquid contain surfactants with a hydrophilic end and a hydrophobic end. The hydrophobic end attaches to dirt and grease, while the hydrophilic end pulls the dirt away, reducing the surface tension of water and allowing it to penetrate and wash away dirt.

Yes, our Washing Up Liquid is pH neutral and can be used on porous surfaces like
marble. It’s important to test it in an inconspicuous area first.
