B Corps, also known as Benefit Corporations, are companies that undergo a thorough assessment conducted by B Lab, a non-profit organisation. To become B Corp certified, these companies must adhere to stringent criteria regarding their social and environmental impact, governance and operational transparency.
Back in 2018, we proudly became the first cleaning manufacturer in the UK to earn B Corp status. For us, being a B Corp is more than a certification; it symbolises our unwavering dedication to our customers, reflecting our commitment to maintain high ethical and environmental standards in every level of our business operation.
This ethos is central to the B Corp movement. For us, in an industry where quick and cheap toxic products are common, we’ve chosen to take the path less traveled. Creating a cleaning range that is gentle on both users and the planet, plus our choice to use PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic have not been the easiest journey’s for us. But initiatives like these are crucial in working towards a more responsible future.
The theme of B Corp month this year resonates strongly with us. At the end of 2023 we launched our carbon report, outlining our way forward to net zero.
What we discovered is that we're ahead of the net zero targets we set in 2022. Learn more about the process below.
Since day one, it's been clear to us that the only way forward is to prioritise measuring and cutting carbon throughout our operations. Introducing 100% recycled plastic bottles which save 61% of emissions when compared with virgin plastic production and a highly concentrated refill range to reduce plastic and deliveries are just some of the ways we're doing this.
