Delphis Eco Wins The Queen’s Award For Sustainability Excellence
We are pleased to announce that Delphis Eco has been awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development!
Her Majesty The Queen personally approves the winners, thus recognising and celebrating the ecological cleaning excellence we have achieved at Delphis Eco over the last ten years.
Why we received a Queen’s Award
Our CEO Mark Jankovich is passionate about ensuring that every element of Delphis Eco is as green as possible. This means our products are plant-based, biodegradable and free of chemical nasties, and we've never tested on animals - and never will!
While aiming for being the greenest cleaning product on the market, we're not losing focus of what cleaning products are all about - namely getting your home spotless clean. And clean they do! So much so that our products have been the professional's choice for the past decade. At Delphis Eco, we want to prove that professional cleaning power does not have to be bad for the environment.
The Environment at the forefront of our business
Naturally, when we think about being as green as possible, our packaging is as important as our product.
We aim to create a circular economy without unnecessary waste. Our founder, Mark Jankovich, took great care in researching every aspect of our packaging to choose the most sustainable options and most widely recyclable. You will notice that none of our bottles have additional dye or colouring - this is because natural-coloured plastic is the most widely recycled plastic in the UK. In addition, our triggers do not contain a metal spring which makes them 100% recyclable. We also make sure our labels are easily removable to make separation for recycling easier, thus decreasing the contamination of the UK waste stream. We're also using vegetable ink and biodegradable, plant-based label glue on all our labels.
Even our boxes are made from recycled cardboard and paper!
Delphis Eco is committed to ensuring that all aspects of the business are environmentally responsible, which is why we’re also committed to manufacturing in Britain to reduce transportation emissions and increase social value benefits.
Our commitments
At Delphis Eco, we're continuously striving to further reduce our emissions and impact on the planet. It is for this reason that we are a founding signatory to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Plastics Pact and have signed up to The Race to Net Zero, The Climate Pledge and The Prince of Wales’s Terra Carta. We are committed to reaching Net-Zero by 2030 and look forward to providing our customers with a net-zero product within the next eight years.
We are all incredibly honoured that The Queen's Awards for Enterprise: Sustainable Developments acknowledges that there’s no need to compromise on cleanliness if you want to save the planet.
